obsessed. i am completely obsessed. anna meredith, classical composer turned electronic innovator’s mainstream debut is just something else entirely. not only because i saw the bbc orchestra last week and felt moved in a way music hadn’t moved me in a while after edith canat de chizy’s “pierre d’├ęclair.” not just because of my reconnection with orchestral music (thanks curran). because it is really quite beautiful and unexpected. intellectual, yes. inaccessible/obtuse, no. i can’t cope. i’m not even here anymore. i’m right there.
