Manuel Martins Cota

Celebrating the life of my Avô, who passed today at 90. He was a kind, gentle man who was full of laughter and compassion. In the 1960s he travelled from the tiny island of Terceira through California and eventually Toronto, where he worked hard to bring my Mom, her siblings, and my Avó over from Portugal. He loved the Blue Jays, making wine, and smoking indoors. He’s the reason I had so many more opportunities than my Mom did. He’s the reason I have been able to do everything I have done until this point. He is missed so very dearly by us all.
